  • February 4, 2012:

Ptl. Gallagher stopped a vehicle on Speedwell Avenue at 2:53 p.m.  The driver, a 25 year old Morristown, NJ resident, was found to have a suspended drivers license and was placed under arrest.

  • February 1, 2012:

Ptl. Rolph stopped a vehicle on Speedwell Ext. at 4:02 p.m.  The driver, a 41 year old Newark, NJ resident, was found to have a suspended drivers license and was placed under arrest.

Ptl. Hochman stopped a vehicle on Route 10 at 10:25 p.m.  The driver, a 20 year old Morristown, NJ resident, was found to have a suspended drivers license and was placed under arrest.

  • January 30, 2012:

Sgt. Mautone and Ptl. Gallagher were clearing a call near Stiles Avenue at 8:54 p.m.  Patrols observed a vehicle turn from Stiles Avenue over a curb, across the sidewalk, strike a boulder, driving into the Quick Chek parking lot then striking a cement column in front of the store before stopping.  The driver exited the vehicle almost falling then staggered towards the door of the Quick Chek.  Patrols stopped the subject and determined that the subject was driving while intoxicated.  The 64 year old Morristown, NJ resident was placed under arrest and transported to Morristown Medical Center.  

Sgt. Koroski and Ptl. Hochman were on patrol at 1:09 a.m. when they observed a Speedwell Avenue tavern with customers inside after closing hours.  After further investigation patrols found two customers and one employee inside the establishment.  The employee and establishment were given a warning for violation of local ordinance and A.B.C laws.

  • January 28, 2012:

Ptl. Hochman stopped a vehicle on Speedwell Extension at 3:20 a.m.  After further investigation the driver was placed under arrest.  The 55 year old Morris Plains resident was charged with driving while intoxicated and careless driving.

Ptl. Rolph stopped a vehicle on Littleton Road at 12:20 p.m.  Patrols discovered the driver had a suspended drivers license and placed the 33 year old Morris Plains resident under arrest.

Sgt Koroski responded to a Littleton Road business at 8:34 p.m. for a trespassing complaint.  A subject was loitering near the front of the business begging for a ride.  The 48 year old Florham Park, NJ resident was advised to leave the area and given a defiant trespass warning.

  • January 27, 2012:

Ptl. Rolph responded to a dispute at a Route 10 business at 2:13 p.m.  The dispute was between a customer and employee over the amount of a purchase.  The situation was mediated by patrols to both parties acceptance.

  • January 25, 2012:

Ptl. Hochman stopped a vehicle on Tabor Road at 1:04 a.m.  After further investigation the driver was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated.  The 44 year old Morristown, NJ resident was also issued summonses for improper use of a lane and speeding.

  • January 24, 2012:

Sgt. Koroski, with the assistance of Morris twp. Police, arrested a subject at 8:41 p.m.  The 31 year old Hackettstown, NJ resident was wanted on an active Morris Plains warrant.

Ptl. Hochman stopped to speak with a subject on Route 53 at 11:35 p.m.  After further inquiry it was determined the subject was a wanted person out of New Jersey for arson.  The subject was taken into custody without incident.

  • January 22, 2012:

Ptl. Keane investigated a theft at a local business at 2:47 p.m.  The business reported a female had removed the price tags from some merchandise and then attempted to leave the business without paying.  Patrols identified a suspect and charges are pending.

  • January 21, 2012:

Ptl. Gallagher stopped a vehicle on Tabor Rd. at 1:26 a.m.  After further investigation the subject was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated.  The 29 year old Rockaway, NJ resident was charged with failing to maintain a lane, driving while intoxicated and failure to produce documents.

  • January 16, 2012:

Ptl. Hochman investigated fraud at a local business at 12:55 p.m.  An actor was able to charge a customers account for over $1,200.00 worth of merchandise.  Patrols were able to develop a suspect.  After further investigation a 25 year old Roseland, NJ resident was arrested and charged with fraud.

  • January 15, 2012:

Sgt. Koroski and Det. Rapp investigated harassment at 1:16 p.m.  The facts indicated the incident falls under the NJ Domestic Violence Protection Act.  The incident was turned over to the Morris County Superior Court - Family Division.

  • January 14, 2012:

Sgt. Koroski investigated a fraud at 10:47 a.m.  The complainant was the victim of a telephone lottery scam.  The suspect told the victim they were the winner of a large sum of cash but needed $500.00 wired to them to release the winnings.  The matter is under investigation. 

Ptl. Hochman stopped a vehicle on Tabor Road at 9:49 a.m.  The drivers registration and driving privileges were found to be suspended.  The 34 year old Dover, NJ resident was placed under arrest.

  • January 13, 2012:

Ptl. Hochman, with the assistance of Haledon Police, arrested a subject at 11:10 a.m.  The 22 year old Clifton, NJ resident was wanted on an active Morris Plains warrant and was committed to the Morris County Jail.

  • December 5, 2011:

Ptl. Keane responded to a dispute at a Route 10 business at 2:03 p.m.  The dispute was between a customer and business employee.  The matter was temporarily adjusted by patrols.

  • December 3, 2011:

Ptl. Rolph stopped a vehicle on Route 10 at 1:05 a.m.  After further investigation it was determined the driver was providing false information.  The 21 year old Morristown, NJ resident was charged with hindering apprehension and driving while suspended.

  • December 2, 2011:

Ptl. Hochman stopped a vehicle on Speedwell Avenue at 12:00 a.m.  The driver, a 48 year old Jersey City, NJ resident, was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated.

  • December 1, 2011:

Sgt. Mautone arrested a subject at 11:59 p.m.  The subject was wanted out of Morris Plains for burglary.  The 30 year old Morris Plains resident was committed to the Morris County Jail.

Ptl. Rolph stopped a vehicle on Granniss Avenue at 1:01 p.m.  The 49 year old Newark, NJ resident was placed under arrest for driving while suspended and an active warrant.

Ptl. Gallagher responded to a local residence at 1:37 p.m. for a burglary and theft.  The matter is currently under investigation.

  • November 29, 2011:

Ptl. Rolph investigated responded to a Littleton Road business for an intoxicated subject at 5:59 a.m.  The subject was alleged to have been harassing customers and employees and refused to leave.  The subject was removed from the business and transported to the hospital for intoxication.

Ptl. Rolph investigated theft at a Route 10 business at 6:56 p.m.  The victim reported a wallet stolen from a shopping cart.  The matter is under investigation.

  • November 27, 2011:

Ptl. Gallagher investigated a theft at a Route 10 business at 4:14 p.m.  Patrols identified two suspects and placed them under arrest for theft.  Charges are pending for both juvenile subjects.

Sgt. Koroski stopped a motor vehicle on Route 10 at 9:00 p.m.  The driver, a 34 year old West New York, NJ resident, was placed under arrest for driving while suspended.

  • November 26, 2011:

Ptl. Gallagher investigated harassment at 4:06 p.m.  The victim reported being harassed through a social networking website.  The victim was advised how to sign complaints with court.

Ptl. Gallagher. investigated a theft at a Route 10 business at 4:26 p.m.  A suspect was identified  and charges are pending.

  • November 25, 2011:

Det. Rapp investigated a theft at a Route 10 business at 12:35 a.m.  The victim reported that while shopping someone stole her wallet and an iPod from her purse.  The matter is under investigation.

Ptl. Rolph investigated a fraud complaint at 12:06 p.m.  The victim reported being the victim of an Internet scam of over $2,300.00  The investigation is ongoing.

Ptl. Rolph investigated harassment at 4:56 p.m.  The victim reported harassing emails from an acquaintance.  The victim was advised how to sign complaints with the court.

  • November 24, 2011:

Ptl. Hochman stopped a vehicle on Tabor Road at 1:32 a.m.  After further investigation the driver was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated.  The 23 year old Mt. Tabor, NJ resident was charged with driving while intoxicated, open container in a vehicle, reckless driving and improper use of a lane.

  • November 21, 2011:

Ptl. Gallagher stopped a vehicle on Franklin Place at 1:00 p.m.  The driver, a 56 year old Upper Montclair, NJ resident, had a suspended drivers license and was placed under arrest.

  • November 20, 2011:

Ptl. Rolph arrested a 53 year old Piney River, VA resident at 4:27 p.m. on an active warrant.

  • November 19, 2011:

Sgt. Koroski stopped a motor vehicle on Route 53 at 8:19 a.m.  It was discovered the driver had a suspended drivers license and multiple arrest warrants.  The 42 year old Randolph, NJ resident was placed under arrest.

  • November 18, 2011:

Ptl. Gallagher stopped a vehicle on West Hanover Avenue at 1:15 a.m.  A passenger in the vehicle was found to have an active arrest warrant out of Dover, NJ.  The 21 year old Dover, NJ resident was placed under arrest.

  • November 14, 2011:

Det. Rapp and Ptl. Rolph responded to a disorderly person at 9:24 a.m.  At the scene patrols located the subject who suffers a medical condition.  Patrols were able to calm the subject down and a family member was responding to assist.

Sgt. Koroski stopped a vehicle on Speedwell Avenue at 4:26 p.m.  The driver, a 45 year Wharton, NJ resident. was placed under arrest for driving while suspended.

Sgt. Koroski, Ptl. Rolph, the Morris Minute Men Emergency Medical Services, the Cedar Knolls Fire Department and the Morris Plains Fire Department responded to a Speedwell Avenue business for a smoke condition at 5:43 p.m.  The heavy smoke condition was caused by a burning fan in the ceiling.  The MPFD quickly contained the fire and cleared the building.  The business suffered minor damage.

  • November 13, 2011:

Ptl. Keane arrested a 31 year old Morris Plains resident at 4:30 p.m.  The subject had multiple warrants and was later turned over to Little Falls Police.

  • November 12, 2011:

Sgt. Mautone and Ptl. Gallagher responded to the parking lot of a Route 10 business at 10:37 p.m. for the report of an assault in progress.  While enroute to the scene it was reported that the aggressor and the victim fled the scene in different vehicles.  Patrols checked the area but were unable to locate either party involved.

  • November 11, 2011:

Sgt. Mautone and Ptl. Rolph responded to an assault in progress at a local residence at 10:09 p.m.  At the scene one of the involved actors was placed under arrest.  The 18 year old Morris Plains resident was charged with assault and taking means of conveyance without consent.

Ptl. Hochman investigated a dispute at a local business at 12:02 p.m.  The dispute was between the business manager and a customer.  Patrols diffused the situation and the customer was given a trespass warning.

Ptl. Hochman arrested a 26 year old Hoboken, NJ resident at 2:56 p.m.  The subject was wanted on an active Morris Plains warrant.

  • November 9, 2011:

Sgt. Rolph and Ptl. Gallagher responded to a dispute at 8:37 a.m.  At the scene the dispute was determined to be verbal in nature.  Patrols adjusted the situation and no further police involvement was necessary

Ptl. Gallagher investigated a theft at 11:06 a.m.  The victim reported money and jewelry was stolen from her purse while waiting for a bus.  The detective bureau is investigating.

  • November 7, 2011:

Ptl. Gallagher stopped a vehicle on West Hanover Avenue at 9:35 p.m.  After further investigation, the 53 year old Piney River, VA resident was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated.

  • November 6, 2011:

Ptl. Keane, with the assistance of the Rockaway Twp. Police, arrested a 25 year old Dover, NJ resident..  The subject was wanted on an active Morris Plains warrant and later committed to the Morris County Jail.

Sgt. Koroski stopped a vehicle on Route 10 at 9:39 p.m.  After further investigation the driver, a 39 year old Rockaway, NJ resident, was placed under arrest for possession of CDS Paraphernalia.

  • November 5, 2011:

Sgt. Ewert investigated criminal mischief at 2:09 p.m.  the complainant stated a vehicle was damaged with spray paint.  The investigation is ongoing.

  • November 4, 2011:

Sgt. Ewert investigated a vehicle parked at a local business at 8:42 a.m.  Patrol found the driver, a 27 year old Dover, NJ resident, had a suspended drivers license.  The subject was placed under arrest.
